Head Start Director

Responsibilities

The Head Start Director serves as the administrator for all Alexander County Head Start preschool programs and may also serve as the Childcare Director for the purposes of the NC Division of Child Development licensure of these programs. The Director has ultimate responsibility for meeting the written requirements of all Head Start Performance Standards, NC Pre K guidelines and requirements, and the implementation of all the Exceptional Children's Program regulations for services to children with special needs.
